Mini GP

It was that time of the year, a time that used to fill Valentine with joy. Christmas was so wonderful usually, after all, but not so much this year. He simply wasn't in the holiday spirit. However, he'd planned this charity event months ago, and there was no cancelling it now. 

It wasn't as flash as ones he'd held in prior years, his museum open to the public with collection buckets all over for people to give what they could to ensure a better holiday for those in need. Music filled the space, and there were performers all throughout the space. Yes, he'd had to up security for the evening to keep his many occult related items safe, but- Well, it was worth it, he supposed. If nothing else, it seemed to be enough to stop his mother from worrying so much about him for a bit.

All were welcome and admission was free. The bar was reasonably priced, and there were a few free nibbles donated by a local restaurant. All and all, not a bad night for the bored and the generously inclined.

"To this day, I still don't know if I consider knowing about the supernatural a gift, or a curse," Akeem replied. "I tend not to tell people who don't already know, if I can get away with it."

Fin nodded a little in understanding, looking thoughtful for a moment, then wetting his lips with a flick of his tongue. "I suppose I don't think about it much- At least as much as I should."

"How much should you think about it?" Akeem asked with raised eyebrows.

"Enough to protect myself, I imagine," Fin shrugged.

"Do you tell everyone you meet?" Akeem asked, although he did not think that Fin did. He was really asking how easily he did tell people.

[prince_of_nymphs]

"No, no, but... I don't know. I worry sometimes I'll tell the wrong person. I have a habit of trusting the wrong people," he confessed softly.

Akeem frowned slightly. "I'm sorry to hear that."

Fin only shrugged, then found a tired smile.

"Just means I've plenty of room to improve."

"It sounds as if the people you oughtn't have trusted do," Akeem replied with a small smile.

[prince_of_nymphs]

"Probably, but I can only seek that out for myself," Fin shrugged.

"Certainly," Akeem stated. "And anything that would make you safer sounds preferable."
