Sunny's magic had wrapped around them almost instinctively, going not for invisibility but for urging people to ignore them and look the other way. She wasn't sure how to explain this to anybody, so really, she didn't want to have to chance having to do so.

Her phone was in her free hand and she checked. "Another block. Unless you don't count Anglicans." Humor was a weak, knee-jerk reaction. It was her primary coping mechanism. But she did believe somewhere in her heart that Anglicanism wasn't so much a faith as a uniquely English cultural obligation.
