The past month- Months?- Had been strange. One night he'd found himself compelled to go out, as though something was calling to him. A silent siren song that had coaxed him into his car and out into the country.

Where had he gone? What had he done?

Those were the questions he had to ask himself when he woke up in the middle of Hyde park in a rumpled suit and a brand new body. ...Possibly brand new. Certainly new to him in that moment, since he couldn't recall much of anything from the past few weeks. His head was pounding, and he was in agony.

A large bird sat upon him. A hawk, he thought absently- Or maybe not. He couldn't seem to focus on it. Not when his gaze was so strongly drawn to all the blood. ...His blood.

"No," he said softly, trying to chase it away with a weak wave of his hand. "I'm free, you can't- He can't," he insisted, right before the world went dark. ...Not that it mattered. It would heal, he would heal. He always did. How else could the punishment continue?

"Three months," Robin said, and took a puff of the cigar, blowing a ring of smoke out into the London night.

"A whole new year," Prometheus frowned, hating that he didn't have the first clue as to what he'd been up to.

"Before I left, I was at your club. I remember that. I think I left my coat there, actually."

Robin looked a little surprised. So... he really hadn't stayed away on purpose.

"Could be," he said. "I can check the lost and found."

Pause. "I obviously didn't know you were... indisposed. I thought you might show up again on New Year's Eve like you did last year." And then his disappointment combined with the incident with Fin had soured the whole night for him.

"I think I intended to," the titan replied, offering a small shrug. There was nothing to be done for it now. That night had passed, but there would be many more.

Robin didn't say anything to that. It really didn't matter at this point anyway.

After another moment he said, "The night you came to the club, you said that something had been stolen from you. I offered to help you get it back."

"Stolen?" The titan asked, frowning, then tilting his head as the conversation came back to him. "No, not stolen, just lost to time and passed around from collection to collection," he said looking almost pained as flickers of memories came back to him.

"I bought it," he realized. I remember- I remember making a call. I was in... Italy? No, Germany, maybe. I saw the museum in London was closing, and I called. It must be back at my shop. Vanessa has been keeping an eye on the place for me."

"You should find out," Robin said, not looking at him as he took another puff of the cigar. "It seemed like it was something really important to you."

"Some of my power is etched into it," the titan confessed, looking over at the puck.

Robin looked over at him. "That is important then," he said. "I hope you found it. If you didn't... i'd still help you."

"Perhaps we should go to my shop later," the titan suggested.

"Sure," Robin said. "Will that help you feel more yourself?"

"Perhaps," Prometheus nodded, taking another drag on the cigar. "Though, to be honest, I just want to see if I really did buy that vase."

He had a terrible feeling that the vase was the reason for his lost memory- And waking up to find himself once again pecked by birds. If there was one thing Zeus likely didn't want, it was the titan regaining any power he'd lost.

"For what it's worth..." Robin was looking out at the city rather than at him. "You seem more, I don't know, yourself, this time. I recognized you quickly." Not to mention last time he'd hardly seemed to care about Robin at all. Though maybe it was selfish to equate that with how well Prometheus was.

"Do I?" Prometheus asked, the question telling. As though he needed that outside input to reassure himself. "I honestly find it hard to tell lately."

"You do... to me," Robin said, not really sure how else to answer.

"I trust your feeling, Robin," the titan said softly, looking over at the puck, then growing bolder and stroking his cheek.

Robin met his eyes for a moment, as if he were looking for him in there.

"Kiss me," he said. "See if that's familiar."

The titan studied the puck for a moment, then leaned in slowly, pressing his lips softly against Robin's.

Robin dropped his cigar to the ground and toed out the end so that he could move closer to him as they kissed.

It was always strange, kissing him for the first time - both familiar, and different.

Discarding his own cigar, the titan took Robin's face in both hands, deepening the kiss.

It was an apology as much as it was a plea for forgiveness.

Robin could feel the apology in the kiss, and... well. Pride be damned. He wrapped his arms tightly around Prometheus' waist - he was so slight, this time. Tall, though.

The titan slowly broke the kiss, but didn't let go. Instead he remained close, staring into Robin's eyes.

"I love you, my wicked little puck," he said softly, leaning in to kiss the other being again, to save Rob the worry of having to say anything in return.

That gesture, of saving him from having to decide what to say, saved Robin from some of the discomfort he inevitably felt in moments like this. He kissed him back deeply to try to make up for his silence.

... and then he heard the doorbell.

He pulled away. "... fuck. That's the food. I - you're hungry. Come inside, we'll eat." And he went to get the delivery from the door.

"I'll be in shortly, I just need a bit more air," the titan said, shaking his head. "I'll not be long."

Robin retrieved the food from the delivery boy at the door, and then set it out on the kitchen table, along with some plates. He opened a new bottle of wine. Didn't look out to the balcony, not wanting to rush him.
