It was happening more often now. The air shivered with the dark magic that was flowing more and more freely through London, leaving all it touched with a feeling of unease, and promising nasty nightmares and troubles to all who felt it in their bones.

Tonight dark creatures came slithering out of the sewers. Ghosts of the dead with cruel hearts, shadows of villains and wicked souls... They were welcomed into London with open arms, appearing and vanishing, and causing pain wherever they wandered.

Tonight the people of london caught a glimpse of the danger coming. A danger that was making itself more and more known as the year continued on.

(OTA! Wild magic is back, though it doesn't have to be evil, it can just be pestering or annoying if you'd rather this time around. You are only limited by your imagination (and what you care to make your pups suffer through). The only thing of note is that for those who are sensitive to magic, it will seem even stronger than the last time.)

It was only about ten minutes before Robin arrived, just letting himself in.

He looked over and saw Felix. Then glanced at Prometheus. "You promise it's not your fault?" he said, but sounded vaguely teasing.

Felix had been drifting, murmuring nonsensically to Prometheus, seeming content with the titan's reassurances. His head rested against the back of the sofa, and he appeared to have otherwise molded his skinny self to the shape of the furniture.

When he heard a familiar voice, Felix blinked his eyes open, and stared. In that moment he understood that everything Robin had ever said about himself was true. The puck was a creature as ancient as the world, made of pure life. Where Prometheus had been a symphony of faces, Robin was... eternal. Felix stared like he'd never seen his friend before, and he wondered if he'd just never really looked.

"I stopped him from cracking his skull open on the pavement. I didn't do any damage, I prevented it. ...Probably," the titan insisted, before pausing and looking unsure.

"I did briefly toy with time and space to get him here and off the street, but he was definitely wobbly before that."

Robin looked down at Felix, arching an eyebrow at the way the wizard was staring at him. It was something like awe, perhaps a touch of adoration, and Robin did enjoy being adored. Though it was also a bit much.

He moved to sit on the edge of the couch at Felix's feet.

"And what's happened to you?" he asked.

"Prometheus gave me tea," Felix explained, in perfectly correct but inexpertly-accented Greek. "Because I could not stand up. We have been replenishing the barrier, but they told me to go.."

Gazing at Robin, unable to find the bottom of the depths of his eyes as dark and green as the very first forests, Felix did not realizing he was telling things out of order, and in the wrong language.

"From what the little phoenix has told me, it seems they're attempting to keep this wild magic out of London," Prometheus added helpfully, even though Robin no doubt could have worked that out on his own. "I believe he's overexerted himself. Needs a chocolate biscuit and a nap."

Sitting back down, the titan frowned thoughtfully. "He seemed certain his lover would come fetch him, but that seemed unlikely to me."

"Since when do you speak Greek?" Robin asked Felix, surprised. He put a hand gently to the wizard's face. "Calm yourself. Everything is fine."

Then he looked at Prometheus. "Oh, Shannon would probably come. But I have no desire to see him, and beside, it's not like he could do."

"Sixteen," Felix answered Robin's question, promptly but softly. His shoulders rose when he saw the lift of Robin's hand, but when he realized he wouldn't be hit, he relaxed somewhat. In his mind, he knew something wasn't right, that he was behaving oddly and that was why Prometheus and Robin were talking over his head. It felt shameful, and he didn't want to be odd. He just couldn't seem to reach the world the other two were in.

Felix turned his head away from the conversation, frowning and lowering his eyes. Did Shannon not want to see him? "He isn't going anywhere," Felix recalled aloud, repeating the words Shannon had told him the last time Felix was unsure of himself.

"I only meant I didn't think this Shannon would know where to look, and that I wouldn't know how to reach him," Prometheus said, watching Felix even as he spoke to Robin, before addressing the wizard himself.

"Should we take you home, Felix?" he asked, his voice gentle. He did his best not to talk down to the wizard though. He knew that was only frustrating when you felt trapped inside your own head. Felix appeared to understand everything being said, he just seemed to be having trouble focusing and expressing himself clearly.

Robin was still a bit grumpy at the idea of encountering Shannon in any context, but it wasn't like it would be helpful for Felix to stay here in this condition, either.

"Would you rather we take you to Shannon?" he clarified to Felix.

Felix did understand them both perfectly well, though each word seemed to send his own mind spiraling off in a dozen different directions. He couldn't capture those errant thoughts, form them back into coherent words with understandable meanings.

But what were they asking him, now? Weren't home and Shannon the same thing? Perhaps Prometheus knew about Felix's recently-developed fears that he might not be from this world at all. He did not want to return to the dark forest and its hungry magics.

"Shannon knows where I belong," he said, blinking between Robin and Prometheus as though they were asking him completely different questions. Then, to Prometheus, he added, "Make sure I'm delivered unmolested."

"Pardon?" Prometheus replied, his brows raised as his gaze flickered briefly to the puck then back to Felix. "I don't know what sort of company you usually keep, petal, but even when hanging by my last thread of sanity, I would never harm someone that way."

Stab them, maybe, but never violate...

"And Goodfellow may be a fan of mischief and debauchery, but I've never known him to indulge without consent."

Robin actually looked hurt, for a moment, before saying, "I'm just going to assume he's not in his right mind."

Felix could see at once by their reactions that he'd said something wrong, and possibly shameful. "He can hear you," the wizard commented in a sour mumble, almost sounding like his usual self.

In an attempt to explain, he appealed to Robin, "You know how Shannon is about people touching his things."

"His things?" the titan echoed, nose crinkling slightly. "Apologies, I thought we were speaking with a person, not a potato."

Frowning, he fell silent for a beat before speaking again. "Pardon us just a moment, Felix," he said finally, catching Robin tenderly by the arm and drawing him into the kitchen for a private word. "I'll not take him home to some master or owner, not while he's clearly unwell," he whispered, assuming this Shannon must be a man of power, or some kind of warden to the wizard. "I'll not be party to any kind of abuse."

Robin let out a soft sigh, and glanced briefly back at Felix, then back at Prometheus. "As much as I would enjoy the opportunity to talk shit about Shannon Teverius, I don't have any reason to think it's... that. He's possessive, and he's jealous - of me, in particular. But I don't get the impression he's abusive." Pause. "Just an asshole."

He put a hand on Prometheus' arm. "Though he's also clueless. He'd have no idea what to do with Felix in this state. Maybe we should keep him here until he's... coherent. Or if you'd rather, we could go to my place."

Prometheus relaxed a bit, reassured by the puck's words, then shrugged. "He's your friend, Robin- I barely know him. Whatever you think is best, I'll be at your back and on your side," he decided. "If you think he's better of with us, I'll help you keep watch over him until he's well again. ...If you think he's safe at home, I'll escort him there with you. I trust your judgement."

And, Robin couldn't help but note, Prometheus was not jealous. Robin squeezed his hand, and smiled at him. "Thank you. You're a kind person."

He walked back over to Felix, and crouched down beside him.

"Felix," he said quietly, "would you like to stay here until you're feeling better? I can watch over you."

Felix had not heard what they spoke of, but he knew he had said something wrong. Prometheus had been very kind and patient, and even Robin didn't seem frustrated, but still Felix knew they had no obligation to look after him. He needed their continued generosity. While they were talking, Felix had pushed himself to sit up again, and now he was looking rumpled but not quite as pathetic.

"What if this is as well as I get?" he asked in a soft voice, still appearing completely entranced by Robin's eyes. "You'd be watching over me a very long time. You have more important things to do," the wizard almost whispered, as though it were a secret. "I want to go to Shannon... does... does he not want me?"

Robin let out another soft sigh. "No, I haven't called him yet. I'm sure he would come. I just don't think that he would know how to take care of you. I thought you might not want to worry him."

Clearly, Felix had difficulty focusing on Robin's words, but he was trying. "Do... you know what's wrong with me? Are you... worried?"

"Not exactly," said Robin. "And not exactly. Because you're strong, and whatever it is, I'm sure you'll break through."

Felix flushed when Robin called him 'strong,' though it was only a warming of his fair face and his expression did not otherwise change. He took a deep breath, and summoned whatever strength Robin might believe of him, to speak as clearly as he could.

"Robin, if I'm going to fall apart, I'd rather... I'd like it not to be in front of the two of you. Please. Take me home."

Robin's expression softened. "Okay," he said. "Whatever you want. Do you think you can stand?"

Although Felix powerfully disliked being touched, even when he did not feel right, he knew he wouldn't be able to manage the entirety of moving himself from Prometheus' very comfortable sofa to Robin's car. He frowned, turned his face away from Robin, and then scooted himself to the edge of the sofa and put out his hand for assistance in getting up.
