Haunted House GP
The house doesn't exist, that's the first thing anyone who might find themselves inside it would want to know. Now, you might ask how one could find themselves inside something that doesn't exist, but you'd honestly be better off asking yourself how you could leave something that doesn't exist. After all, ideas and concepts can't be burnt or broken, and you can't breakdown a door that's not there- Or was there and then decided to be somewhere else for a while...
You wake in a house though, a house that doesn't exist. A house that defies the laws of reality. There are corridors that go on for days, rooms full of nightmares, and millions of doors that lead you anywhere but out. Trapped inside with you are dozens of other people, all searching for an exit, or an explanation.
Behind every door you'll find your darkest fears, maybe even memories you've tried to forget, or secrets you never wanted to share...
(OTA! Here is your first of two Halloween gps! This one is, of course, set in the haunted house where your pup can run into anything you can dream up! Deadly traps! Spooky monsters! An existential crises! Top level your pups waking up or running into danger, and then go ahead and tag other players! Since this is all magic-y and spooky don't worry too much about time lines and who bumped into who first. Only rule is that your pup can't escape until November 1st! Have fun! Also, because there are two GPs going up this week, both are open to new top levels for two whole weeks! And, of course, you can keep tagging long after that if you want. :D I'll post reminders daily on slack.)

"I suppose we ought to start walking then."

"I do know there is a door from here to London. It lies hidden in a tree," Willy said. "If we can find the tree, perhaps we can get home. But there are many dangers here. We must be on alert."
no subject
Fin nodded, unaware that they weren't really in the woods of Willy's homeland, and that any door they found would only lead them back to the maze of halls.
"Perfect, let's get going then. We'll worry about danger if we cross its path."

Willy gave a nod and caught Fin's hand, striking off in the opposite direction of the burbling and snuffling. He had no interest in meeting monsters, sword or no. He only wanted to see Fin at home in bed.

The sound only seemed to get louder though, echoing through the air and taunting them. It never seemed near, only looming, and Fin began to cower somewhat as he kept as close to Willy as he was physically able.

There was a circle of trees, all with doors in them. Willy opened the door that was red like a phone booth and stepped through, Only to find them back in the hall. A clawed hand reached out of the door after them, snagging Fin's shirt and ripping it open.

The thin fabric of his t-shirt hadn't stood a chance, and there were long claw marks that ran from just above his hip to the small of his back.
"Shit," he swore, scrambling away from the door and pressing himself up flat against the wall. "What the bloody hell was that?" he asked hooking his finger through one of the massive holes in his shirt, and trying to ignore the way his heart wasn't pounding- When it absolutely should have been.

"The Jabberwock," Willy replied simply. "I knew he was stalking us. That was why we needed to get to..."
He looked around. It wasn't London. Just another long hallway with hundreds of doors waiting to be opened. Each, he was sure, with a unique horror behind it.
"I think we are safer in the hall than in any room," he mused.

"I don't dare sleep here," Willy replied. "But if you would like to I shall stand guard over you and let no harm come to you. This I swear."
In his armor and helm with the sworn in it's scabbard he looked like a warrior. There was little doubt he would keep Fin safe.

"We must find an exit. Or a stairway. Some way out," Willy said. "There has to be a way out."
That it might be a shared nightmare disturbed him. The dream lord had such powers but why they would be trapped...they had dont nothing to the lord to draw his attention...

"You sound so certain," Willy said, smiling down at Fin. He looked at him a long moment. "I love that you can see me. Whatever the price...the look of light in your eyes does my heart good."
no subject
"You've no idea how wonderful it is to see your face so clearly, Will," Fin gushed. "I wont pretend I don't feel slightly weaker or frailer, but it's so very worth it to be able to see your eyes with my own."
no subject
"We shall learn all we can to understand what to make of this new life of yours," the fae assured him. "I cannot say I am upset to have your gaze fully on me once again. I am not sad about that at all."
no subject
It was a relief to hear that, and Fin smiled faintly.
"It is strange not having a heartbeat though," he admitted. "I feel a bit like a ghost."
no subject
"Perhaps you are? I do not know. There are many beings without heartbeats, though. It is nothing to worry over, Fin. I promise," Willy assured him.
no subject
"I suppose it's something to dwell on later."

"When we are free of this place we will do all the research and worry then," he said. THey walked on and there was a wide spot in the hall with a lift and next to it a door labeled 'stairs'. Willy smiled.
"Shall we take the stairs and see where they go?"
no subject
no subject
"We could get in the lift," he said, but shook his head. "I do not think that wise. Or...we could keep going down the hall. It seems no matter where we go we are not making any gains in getting free."
no subject
"No, I think you're right- The steps are our best option. I'm just a bit nervous, that's all. Don't fancy letting that beast have another swipe at me," Fin said, forcing a laugh.
no subject
"Somehow I think the Jabberwock is going to be the least of the horrors behind any of these doors," Willy said, most unhelpful, though honest.
no subject
"There might be answers too though. If we knew where we were, we might be able to leave."
