Gathering Post - Christmas Eve Party
Look forward to: A live DJ, live music, an appearance by Santa, gift bags with deluxe swag, and the company of old and new friends!
"Then I very much want to hear the Afrobeat," Winter chirped. "I look forward to it."
"I hope so, yeah," Spencer smiled, nodding a bit and blushing.
"We should catch him, Fae Willy. leaving gifts," Winter whispered.
"I nearly didn't come tonight," Spencer admitted. "I'm glad I did. ...I'm glad I got to see you."
"With a trap," Winter replied. "We will drop a net on him! Like in cartoons."
"I don't think even God celebrates any of this," Hannibal replied to that. Not to put himself in that same category, but not quite being modest about it either.
"Our mutual friend then," Hannibal confirmed. "And a miracle of science, it would seem."
"I don't ring," Jade argued. "I bump into you at all the good places." It was true he hadn't rung. It was also true he'd been getting his drugs from other people besides Dutch and those people sometimes took up his whole night as well. If it was a downward spiral, Jade hadn't noticed.
"But you got a... what, girlfriend?" Jade asked, with a smile. He did want her to have all the good things.
"And you look the part," Hannibal replied. Something very strange about it, though. "You seem reborn."
"Much better," Hannibal said. "His depression seemed more crippling than the loss of sight." He could say this, because it was a matter of public knowledge that Fin had suffered depression. And it was a shame it was cured. There was something beautiful about seeing the young man crumble further and further. "Still, I wonder what doctor has cured him. A true magician, it must be, in his field."
