"Are you sure? Did you see him last year?" he asked. He had not seen, he had been asleep.
no subject
"No," Winter scowled.
no subject
"Then why do you think the prince tells fibs?" Phouka pressed.
no subject
"Because I saw the mortals talking about it on telly, " Winter huffed. "Santa is a fib. "
no subject
"Faeries are not real, either, " the Phouka pointed out. "Perhaps it is the television that tells fibs."
no subject
Winter considered that, nodded, then frowned. ”No, he is a lie.”
no subject
"All right. If that is what you believe," he said. He wasn't going to push the idea of Santa when Winter seemed so set against it.
no subject
"We should catch him, Fae Willy. leaving gifts," Winter whispered.
no subject
"How should we do that?" Phouka asked.
no subject
"With a trap," Winter replied. "We will drop a net on him! Like in cartoons."
no subject
"I do not think things from cartoons work in this world...do they?" Phouka asked.
no subject
no subject
"I imagine we could try. It would be funny if we could catch him," he said then, willing to play Winter's game.
no subject
"We can stay up all night waiting for him, " the pixie grinned.
no subject
"I am certain I can think of all sorts of ways to keep you awake as we wait," Phouka replied.

no subject
"We can play cards," he nodded. "I was thinking of snogging you to keep you awake," he said, flashing a smile.
no subject
"Oh. ...I like kissing. I like kissing more than I like winning at Go Fish," Winter purred.
no subject
"Then we shall have cards and kisses and prince-catching...or Santa catching. Either way we will stay up all night until we know."Phouka said, then kissed him softly.

Winter squeaked in excitement, nodding and smiling brightly.
"Yes! It will be good and fun, and tomorrow we will have presents."
no subject
"I have many presents for you. Do you have anything for me?" Phouka asked.
no subject
"Maybe," Winter replied with an impish grin. "I bought many things for Winter, but I also bought things for Phouka."
no subject
"I look forward to your gifts. I treasure everything you have given to me, my favourite," he replied.
no subject
"You deserve only good and wonderful things," Winter said, growing serious- Before getting distracted by a passing tray of cakes.
"Oh! More sweets! I just need one. Two maybe? ...Many," he decided, slipping away and chasing after the man with the tray. He didn't even bother to say goodbye- After all, he would see Phouka again soon.
