Gathering Post - Christmas Eve Party

Merry Christmas!

You are invited to celebrate the season with Finlay Flynn and Willy Silver.

 

When: Christmas Eve (5pm – Midnight)

Where: Making the Modern World - The Science Museum

Upon entry you'll be given a ticket for one free drink. All drinks after that are 5 each. There will also be a free buffet in the dining area.

 

Dress code: Casual, but tidy please!

 

Raffle: Come wearing a festive sweater and you will automatically be entered into a raffle to win a 65 inch TV.

 

Donate: Bring three tins of canned food to be donated to the local food bank, and receive an extra drink ticket.

Look forward to: A live DJ, live music, an appearance by Santa, gift bags with deluxe swag, and the company of old and new friends!

 

(OTA! Happy holidays! If you know Fin, Willy, Phouka, or Winter, feel free to assume they gave you an invite. If not, you can say your pup got an invite through a friend of a friend, someone who knows someone, ect. It IS invite over (no gate crashing pups please, Fin's a giver and would want everyone to feel included), but the pups hosting the party are pretty active and I believe they know almost everyone in the game. And the people they don't know surely know people who do. Even if you only met them once, you got an invite somehow! This gathering post is open all week, and beyond!)

Divine Intervention wasn't the kind of thing Coby would say to someone he'd just met, but he couldn't help feeling like it had played a part. It had brought Anael into his life, and a warm smile crinkled the corners of his eyes thinking of him. "Felt like getting out of town, and a friend from here was looking for a home swap, so I took him up on it," he explained instead.

As good a reason as any. Felix inclined his head in a little nod. There was certainly something more in Coby's eyes that Felix couldn't quite put his finger on. A little more prying, then. "London agrees with you, then? Our American cousins can experience a bit of culture shock here, I understand."

"I told you, it's about going with the flow," Coby said, smirking, but the expression softened. "But I like going places, meeting new people. And it turns out an old friend comes through London a good bit these days. We've had a chance to reconnect."

Ah, now that was certainly something. Felix was pleased to have uncovered it. "Perhaps I should consider the flow more seriously," Felix chuckled, lazy but clearly teasing. "If it produces such enticing results. How fortunate that London has provided such a reward for you. Perhaps in an attempt to get you to stay."

"Nah. He'll find me in LA once I go back," Coby said, completely confident in Anael's desire to do so. "Whenever that winds up being. But London's cool, except for the weather. I'll probably stay for awhile."

"I'm sure London is richer for it," Felix said, offering his glass in toast. "So what do you do here for us, Mr. Ward?"

"I'm a musician." He paused then, because timing was, if not everything, at least important. "But I do that for me."

"I'm sure you do it for us all," Felix said, fluttering a reflexive smile. "We do enjoy finding new performers, if you'll be playing anywhere nearby soon."

[sunsongs]

"Here and there." Coby didn't plan too far in advance, but he had enough lined up, or that could be lined up, to stay busy. "And the band's got a regular thing, Mondays at Scandals."

"I'll remember that," Felix said thoughtfully. Shannon might enjoy something that different from their usual opera, symphony and theater fare. "It was a pleasure meeting you, Coby Ward, but I must go and find my companion before I lose him to the adoring public he's undoubtedly gathered around himself."
