The Queen's official birthday celebrations might wait for the better, brighter weather of June, instead of the actual date just passed, but there was no lack of things to do in London this week, even if it was cooler and damper than the week before. St. George's day festivities were scattered throughout the city, competing with celebrations of the four hundredth anniversary of Shakespeare's death. Getting around the city could be even more difficult than usual on Sunday, with multiple streets closed off for the London marathon.

There were exhibits - everything from graphic design to a survey of Sicilian history to the influence of underwear. And the same level of diversity could be found whether you were in the mood for music, theatre, good food, or late night fun. There was something for everyone, and no matter your plans - or lack of plans - you never quite knew what you were going to find, or who might find you.

Winter was, actually, on best behaviour. By the end of the performance he was completely engrossed, and he seemed a bit sad to see it all end.

"Can we see it again?" he asked, not sure how this really worked. He knew it was sort of like what Fin did sometimes, but was it like the cinema? Could they just line up for another ticket?

"Not tonight," Eric answered with a small smile, glad to stay where he was while the crowd left. "But I'll get you more tickets if you like. The mad song didn't disturb you?"

"No. No, I really enjoyed it," Winter said softly. "It was lovely. Thank you for inviting me."

[thenorthman]

"Thank you for not letting me sit here alone," Eric replied. "Did you want to try and catch the end of your concert?" He didn't know what time it was supposed to begin, and so when it might have ended, although the opera had been long.

"I think it will be over now, but we could have more drinks if you want," Winter offered.

"I don't drink," Eric pointed out, with a hint of a smile, "anything but blood."

Winter tilted his head slightly, then hummed.

"I don't know any bars that sell blood," the pixie replied.

"It isn't my night, is it," Eric remarked, but he was still smiling slightly.

"What do you mean?" Winter asked, his head tilting in confusion.

[thenorthman]

"First I get stood up, and now we can't go and have drinks," Eric remarked, and stood, although he was in no hurry to get out. But stretching his legs, at least, was welcome.

"Where do you usually get drinks?" Winter asked. "I will go with you if there's somewhere you can find what you favour."

"I usually get my drinks from willing humans," Eric answered. "At my club, for the most part, but I wouldn't want to take you there. You could cause a riot, smelling like you do."

Winter misunderstood though, and let out an annoyed little huff.

"I smell very nice! I bathed just this morning," the pixie frowned.

"You smell much too nice to bring to a club full of vampires," Eric replied with a hint of a smile.

Winter looked puzzled, but it eventually clicked.

"Oooh," he replied. "Yes, I don't think I'd enjoy being the cause of a riot. That doesn't sound like a good night. ...Unless it was a glitter riot."

"We're not that sort of vampire," Eric deadpanned.

Winter didn't get the joke though, and only wondered where the glitter vampires lived, and how he could befriend one.

"...Oh. Well, I have blood. An abundance, probably. You can have some of mine if I may have a glass of wine," the pixie offered.

Eric watched the pixie for a few seconds, as if ascertaining that he was serious, and then nodded. "All right. That sounds fair." He even held his hand out to help him up. "Come on, then."

Winter wasn't very good at long term planning. All he knew was he wanted wine and company, and he was getting that now. That's all he was thinking as he took the offered hand.

Eric reclaimed his hand as they reached the hall, to put it on Winter's back and steer him towards the door. "Let's take a walk and see what we can find in the area? Unless there's anywhere in particular you'd like to go."

Winter hummed thoughtfully, deciding where he wished to go as they headed outside- Then came to a sudden stop outside a coffee shop advertising ice cold coffee drinks with caramel in them.

"I don't want wine, I want that," he decided, pressing his face against the glass. "Then it doesn't matter where we go. We can drink in the park even."

"Let's get you what you want," Eric stated, and held the door open for the pixie.

Winter peeped happily, heading inside and walking right up to the counter.

He ordered himself the drink he wanted, bouncing a bit while he waited.

Eric paid for it while the drink was prepared, thankful for how things might be about to turn out. It would be much easier to find a secluded corner in a park (especially a closed one) than in a bar.

He only hoped that the pixie wouldn't back out of their deal, since he didn't want to risk bad blood with his kind, or the Fae.

Tasty though they were.

Winter held his cup in both hands, peeping happily as they wandered out into the street.

"Should we go to the park now?"
