Be Mine - Valentine's Day 2017
Lucky in love or not, London was a lovely place to find yourself on Valentine's Day. From romantic walks through various parks, to intimate dinners or shared deserts in the many restaurants and cafe's- There was something for everyone, because if wandering or dining wasn't for you, well, there were plenty of organised events to attend.
London couldn't claim to be the city of love, but it was certainly a city of possibilities.

Hex kept close, blocking Fin's exit and trapping him close to the door.
"The park is cold," he said. "Why don't we go somewhere warm?"
He was so close he could smell Fin and it made him dizzy. He let his hand fall, only so he could push it up underneath the hem of the man's coat.

The right thing to do would be to remind Hex of Danny- But Fin was selfish, and not ready to lose this contact just yet. Instead he kept it somewhat innocent, gently brushing Hex's hand away.
"Where would you like to go?" he asked.
no subject
He let Fin brush his hand, but only caught hold of his and twined their fingers together. Hex wet his lips, thinking of exactly where he'd like to go with Fin.
His eyes darkened as his pupils grew wider.
"..."Chips?" he said, then wet his lips. "Maybe they have heart shaped ones or summat..."

"You've no idea how hard it is to try and be on my best behaviour when you're near," he said softly. "I wont tempt you, Hex. ...But I wouldn't refuse you either," he confessed.
no subject
"You tempt me just being here," he said. "Just being near. Hearing you. Seeing you...even on telly...I don't know what's wrong with me, Fin."
He closed his eyes and his voice dropped to nearly a whisper.
"I love Danny so much but when I'm with you I just want..."
He could't think of what he wanted, specifically. He just wanted. Wanted Fin. Wanted sex. Wanted love. Wanted.
no subject
And Danny didn't need to know, did he?
no subject
Didn't it? Hex tried to think but his brain was foggy. Fin smelled so good and he was so close and so inviting. He inched closer until he was pressed tight to him.
Did this make what he had with Danny less pure? Wasn't there something...something itched in the back of mind.
Us against the world, came to him and he closed his eyes. He could picture Danny saying that so clearly.
"I shouldn't," he protested weakly.
no subject
"Bloody hell, just make up your mind. You do this and- Do you not think it gets to me? One moment you're so close, and then you're talking about true love and real relationships. ...Get fucked. Real didn't matter that much when you borrowed me for a night, did it? But oh, better not hurt Danny, right? Precious fucking Danny, who's clearly worth more than me, yeah? Bet you don't swap him out to your mates, do you? No, he's not some whore you can rut up against in front of a coffee shop. He's not some little fantasy you get to entertain when you please and forget in an instant. ...That's just me. Everyone's favourite disposable lover. ...You sure you want to toss me aside already? I'm sure I've got a few good goes left in me."

Fin's words came at him, piercing through him like a blade. Like a bullet. He had a phantom ache in his chest and he couldn't help but reach up to cover the wound long healed by Winter. That didn't help, though. Pain, real pain, radiated from the place, making his heart beat hurt with every pulse, making his skin and muscles burn.
"Fin, don't..." he said, finding it hard to breathe. The magic that called to him so strongly was just as powerful, but now instead of luring him it it punched through him and made him want to drop to his knees. Anguish furrowed his brow and he turned to take a few steps back.

Fin, however, wasn't doing anything. His magic was as tightly under control as it ever was since he'd learned to keep it in check. The only part of it that had a habit of creeping out was that seductive pull of desire and sexual cravings. Anger though? Not so much.
"I'm not... I'm not doing anything," Fin said calmly, glancing around in search of another source of magic.

Something dark wound around him, making him hurt in ways he'd never felt. And with pain came fear. A fear like he'd only felt on Halloween. He looked at Fin, then looked away. Surely it was the fae before him. Hex wasn't the most complex man and he simply took it for what it was. Fin was mad, so Fin was hurting him.
"I-I'm sorry," he said. "Please stop..."
It didn't even occur to him to look around. Didn't occur to him to take notice of the enormous fae with the huge afro across the street and down a bit.

"I'm not doing anything," Fin said again, falling silent as his gaze landed on Will.
'Stop it,' he mouthed silently and clearly to the other fae, before reaching for Hex and turning him towards the source of his pain so he could see for himself.

Their eyes met and the pain stopped. He stood up straight and squared his shoulders, then looked at Fin.
"I have to go. Happy Valentine's day," he said in a dreamy voice and then walked away.
As he did, Willy crossed the street, causing a car to stop for him. He was lazy about it, taking his time until he was on the sidewalk with Fin.
"I would rather like to have today with you alone," he said, expecting his actions to be explained so simply.
no subject
He wanted to scream and yell, but in the end Fin inhaled deeply through his nose before speaking calmly.
"Willy Silver, Oengus Mac, you are going to bring Hex back over here. You're going to remove whatever little charm it is you just spun, and then you're going to apologise for attacking him," Fin said, holding Will's gaze the whole time. "And you know what? After that, you're going to dissolve the deal you made with him, and then you're going to apologise to me. Because you know what, Will? I'm still angry. I'm... I am as kind as I can be, and I love you so deeply it makes me ache, but- I am not alright. We are not alright. I don't think you understand just how fucked up you left me. I don't think I understand it fully even. There's just this..."
He trailed off, all that could wait. One thing at a time.
"Bring him back. Apologise. Now."
no subject
And so, though he felt he'd done nothing wrong, he waved his hand and Hex, some distance away, turned to come back to Fin. The fae's power was undeniable.
"I will do it," he said to Fin. And when Hex was close enough, his eyes wide with fear as he looked at Will, the tall fae reached out and laid his hand on Hex's shoulder.
"I give you my sincere apology for hurting you and driving you away," he said. Willy looked at him directly and the air shivered with his next words.
"Thomas Hector Schofield, I release you from out deal. You are no longer my servant. Be free. I will not call upon you."
Hex's mouth gaped, closed, gaped again, leavig him looking like some trout. He looked from Willy to Fin and back to Willy.
"You...It felt like you shot me," he said quietly. "I thought it was Fin. You're a right bastard, yeah?"
Will nodded.
"So I am told."

He loved Danny. Not like Fin, it would never be like what he felt for Fin, but Danny was normal. Danny was kind and he was everything Hex had ever wanted in his life. And it wasn't complicated.
And it certainly wasn't fucking magic.
Willy watched him go.
"I thought he would be grateful," he mused.
no subject
"Yeah. ...Yeah, thanks Will. Thanks a lot," he said softly, eyes damp though tears never came.
For a moment he wasn't sure what to do- But after a beat he took off after Hex. Will could be mad, right now Fin didn't have it in him to care. He didn't buy for one moment that Will was so naive that he thought any of this was alright.
"Hex! Hex, wait," he said, catching the man's arm as he caught u,p and trying to pull him to a stop. "I was being a prick, and I'm sorry, but- Neither of us have exactly been saints here. ...I don't- I don't want us to be like this. I don't want to fight, and- I love you, and I can't just pretend I don't- But I'm angry too. With Will, with you... With the world sometimes..."
He trailed off, hoping Hex would speak to him.
no subject
"You spin me round, you know that? You love me, you don't, you're jealous, you're tempting...your bloody magic gets under me skin and I can't stop meself when I'm around you. I don't want to fight, either, but there ain't no middle ground, is there? You're never going to really forgive me for me wish, and I'm not ever going to forgive meself. And if I'm going to make a go of it with Danny and have something real, something all me own, because God knows I'll never have you all to meself, then I can't be around you. I can't. I get close to you and I forget him and that's not fair. Not to any of us," he blasted.

He sighed.
"Maybe it's be worth another year and a day if I could wish to Will back there that I just...not feel like this."

"It'd be worth it," he said softly. "I'd be his servant forever if it meant I could be your mate, just your mate, and we could all be happy."
no subject
"I wouldn't be happy," he said softly. "I'd ache every day."
no subject
"I don't know what to do, Fin," he replied, burying his face against the man's neck and breathing him in.
