Vod was feeling, believe it or not, fairly optimistic about his arrival, here. Even if he was having to do boring work at a boring job, he at least got to stand outside, smoke, and see plenty of cute ladies. Even in this day and age, it seemed, club outfits for women seemed to be on the skimpy side. Vod didn't mind that a bit. Even if he had to wear a stocking cap to cover his ears, and had to tuck his tail down his pants leg.
Bouncing from couch to couch was nice, but Hex's vacant flat was where Vod was spending most of his time. Pretty much every night, Vod would go out to be a bouncer or work security somewhere, come back, drink, eat, and sleep. If he didn't manage to get a girl to follow him back after his shift was over.
The best part about the jobs, though, was that they were kind of ideal for Vod's personality. Look a bit intimidating, pretend to give two shits about the date of birth on someone's ID and whether or not the picture matched, stuff like that. But if someone slipped him a little extra to turn the other way, that was fine, too. Hell, the management didn't seem to mind.
This particular establishment, which was dubbed "Electric Blue," was a small but apparently well-kept dance club, and Vod was enjoying the flow of things around him as he carded, took his smoke breaks, and gave the odd wink and a smirk to the beautiful women as they entered.
