Spencer was, honestly, pretty terrifying all by herself, and the guy had
already started to back away.
"He was just leaving," Spencer assured the stranger, watching as the
Halloween creep nodded and skittered off. She still had murder in her eyes
as she turned her attention to the newcomer, but they seemed to soften as
she took a calming breath.
"Sorry, I get bit tense this time of year," she admitted, fighting a
little, then caving and shoving her hand into her bag to break off a tiny
bit of brownie to nibble on.
