"This is a Hollywood film, Fin- you can't say no. You just can't."
It was already in the press. Not just the blogs and Twitter, but the Guardian and a few others had picked it up. ...Finlay Alexander Flynn was going to play a beloved character from one of the biggest book franchises in recent history. Books that Fin himself had read and loved in his early teen years.
He'd be playing the role of Eliott Frostbitten, a rather jaded and unpleasant, but brilliant wizard. Eliott wasn't the lead in the Seasonal Wrongdoings Trilogy (a series of popular urban fantasy books aimed at young adults), but he was an important character, and a fan favourite. ...It was a small part in a very large film, but it was a part that would take his fame out of England, and drop him onto the world stage.
Or so his manager kept saying anyway.
To Fin it was both a thrill and absolutely terrifying, and as he sat alone on the tube, he found himself shaking nervously as he held his cane tightly and took a calming breath.
