Bond wasn't about to relinquish his gun here in the street but he did change his course to follow along. Busy little police stood around looking imposing, and mostly ineffectual. It was a good show but the threat was neutralized.
"I need to call in to the office to see what I'm allowed to say," Bond said, shockingly comfortable with this part of the process. Local enforcement always wanted him to give a statement and that statement was often 'no comment'.
