The house doesn't exist, that's the first thing anyone who might find themselves inside it would want to know. Now, you might ask how one could find themselves inside something that doesn't exist, but you'd honestly be better off asking yourself how you could leave something that doesn't exist. After all, ideas and concepts can't be burnt or broken, and you can't breakdown a door that's not there- Or was there and then decided to be somewhere else for a while...
You wake in a house though, a house that doesn't exist. A house that defies the laws of reality. There are corridors that go on for days, rooms full of nightmares, and millions of doors that lead you anywhere but out. Trapped inside with you are dozens of other people, all searching for an exit, or an explanation.
Behind every door you'll find your darkest fears, maybe even memories you've tried to forget, or secrets you never wanted to share...
(OTA! Here is your first of two Halloween gps! This one is, of course, set in the haunted house where your pup can run into anything you can dream up! Deadly traps! Spooky monsters! An existential crises! Top level your pups waking up or running into danger, and then go ahead and tag other players! Since this is all magic-y and spooky don't worry too much about time lines and who bumped into who first. Only rule is that your pup can't escape until November 1st! Have fun! Also, because there are two GPs going up this week, both are open to new top levels for two whole weeks! And, of course, you can keep tagging long after that if you want. :D I'll post reminders daily on slack.)

Date: 2015-11-04 01:03 am (UTC)"This doesn't seem frightening," Willy said. "Odd, certainly, but not like any of the rooms before..."
He didn't trust this place, not a bit. He had been to many places which changed and shifted while a person was there, but nothing like this.

Date: 2015-11-04 01:10 am (UTC)"Oh," he said quietly. Tensing as someone knocked on the bedroom door.
"We should go," he said quietly, looking around the room for another way out.

Date: 2015-11-04 01:47 am (UTC)There didn't appear to be another way out. There was a window but outside it was a rock wall only inches away. Certainly not enough room to escape.
"Who is it knocking, Fin?" he asked, reaching for his sword.

Date: 2015-11-04 02:03 am (UTC)"We just wont open the door. This isn't real, it can't be, maybe... Maybe it'll go away.

Date: 2015-11-04 02:06 am (UTC)The pounding only grew louder and a rough voice began to tauntingly call Fin's name.
"I do not think ignoring it will be an option," Willy said. "I do not fear this Rick Tullin. Let him in and I shall protect you. No one will ever harm you while I draw breath."

Date: 2015-11-04 02:17 am (UTC)Except it wasn't Rick Tullin on the other side. Not at all.

Date: 2015-11-04 02:20 am (UTC)The place was preying on their fears and while Fin may have feared a bully, Willy's hands dropped from his sword and he fell to his knees when he saw his mother on the other side of the door. For all that he cared for her, revered her, there was no question Willy was terrified of her as well.
"I apologize, Mother. I would never threaten you..." he said in the voice of a small boy.

Date: 2015-11-04 02:24 am (UTC)"That's- It's not your mother," Fin reminded him. "It's alright Will. It's... She's not real. She can't be. ...And if you are, I think you have a lot of explaining to do- Starting with where the hell you've brought us."

Date: 2015-11-04 02:28 am (UTC)"Oengus, your mortal annoys me," she said. "And you- you are such a disappointment of a child. Singing for mortals. Living with them. Loving one?"
She turned her gaze to Fin and her eyes narrowed. "But you're no longer mortal, are you? You're something else. Something rotting and rancid and rank. Ghoul. Filth," she spat and she raised her hand. Willy was up on his feet in an instant and her grabbed her wrist to stop her from striking Fin.
Her face changed, eyes growing larger and bulging, teeth becoming needle sharp. She was half the Queen and half a creature from the lake.
And then in a foul puff of rank smoke she was gone.

Date: 2015-11-04 02:34 am (UTC)Words failed him, but eventually he decided to soften the mood with an attempt at humour.
"I don't smell. That was a bit rude."
Actually, he really didn't smell- Which was sort of odd. Even Fin noticed that he didn't seem to have any scent at all now.

Date: 2015-11-04 02:36 am (UTC)Willy stepped closer to him and put an arm around him. "We must find a way back to London. One of these doors has to take us back. We simply need to find the right one."

Date: 2015-11-05 01:31 am (UTC)Willy nodded in agreement and then threaded his warm fingers with Fin's cold ones and started off down the hall. Dors upon doors lined the passage and it seemed to go on and on, turning now and again, quite like a labyrinth.
"This could be the realm of the goblin king," he chuckled softly, though there was little amusement in it.

Date: 2015-11-05 01:39 am (UTC)"I really hope that's a joke, Will," Fin said quietly, sounding nervous and keeping as close to Will as he was able.

Date: 2015-11-07 01:23 am (UTC)"I meant it lightly, yes," Willy replied, slipping his arm around Fin's narrow, fragile shoulders. He could feel a difference in him. "You seem different. So very different in such a short time. Powerful magic, my little dove. I wonder who we could ask about it..."

Date: 2015-11-07 01:39 am (UTC)"No," the fae said softly. "I like it. You are..."
He paused and thought, then leaned down to kiss Fin and against his lips he whispered-
"More like my kind."

Date: 2015-11-07 04:54 am (UTC)"Think on it later, my precious. Think on it later. For now we must find our way out, yes?" he said, trying to charm Fin a bit to help put him at ease.

Date: 2015-11-07 03:20 pm (UTC)"I wish there was more light this way. I can finally see again, and everything's cloaked in shadows."
no subject
Date: 2015-11-07 03:50 pm (UTC)"Of course," Willy replied, fulfilling Fin's wish without question. He created another ball of light in his hand and this time tossed it upward a bit. I floated above them and moved forward with each step they took, lighting the way.

Date: 2015-11-07 04:57 pm (UTC)"Couldn't you simply magic us home?"
no subject
Date: 2015-11-07 08:01 pm (UTC)"I have tried," Willy said. "I did not tell you in case of failure. I thought it might frighten you if my power could not get us home..." he added apologetically.

Date: 2015-11-07 08:32 pm (UTC)Willy pulled him to a stop and pressed a kiss to Fin's forehead.
"I shall keep you safe, not matter what danger comes along," he promised. The glowing ball above them seemed almost cheerful in the gloom, staving off anything frightening for the moment.
