Anael wasn't surprised by the kiss itself, but he was surprised that it would happen now. A very, very pleasant surprise, and more warmth unfurled inside him as he returned the kiss, raising his arms to wrap one of them around Coby's shoulders, the other around his waist. They were of a height, making the kiss a comfortable thing to fall into, lose himself in. A first kiss with someone was always a unique experience, and this was no different, for all that Anael had kissed some of Shamziel's previous incarnations. He was learning how to kiss him, and how they kissed together, all over again.
The kiss felt as if it lasted an eternity, for the complex burst of emotions inside Anael's chest, and as if it had ended too soon, for how much he would love to do nothing but kiss Coby for hours on end. How could he not, given the way it made his toes curl, his heart beat a step faster, his skin tingle where Coby touched him? Anael smiled as the kiss broke, and brushed his nose against Coby's.
"Are you ready?" he asked quietly, his tone soft and intimate, as he masked them from view, his other arm also sliding around Coby's waist. In case his meaning wasn't clear, his wings came out then, tall, strong and grey-white.
