Gathering Post - Christmas Eve Party

Merry Christmas!

You are invited to celebrate the season with Finlay Flynn and Willy Silver.

 

When: Christmas Eve (5pm – Midnight)

Where: Making the Modern World - The Science Museum

Upon entry you'll be given a ticket for one free drink. All drinks after that are 5 each. There will also be a free buffet in the dining area.

 

Dress code: Casual, but tidy please!

 

Raffle: Come wearing a festive sweater and you will automatically be entered into a raffle to win a 65 inch TV.

 

Donate: Bring three tins of canned food to be donated to the local food bank, and receive an extra drink ticket.

Look forward to: A live DJ, live music, an appearance by Santa, gift bags with deluxe swag, and the company of old and new friends!

 

(OTA! Happy holidays! If you know Fin, Willy, Phouka, or Winter, feel free to assume they gave you an invite. If not, you can say your pup got an invite through a friend of a friend, someone who knows someone, ect. It IS invite over (no gate crashing pups please, Fin's a giver and would want everyone to feel included), but the pups hosting the party are pretty active and I believe they know almost everyone in the game. And the people they don't know surely know people who do. Even if you only met them once, you got an invite somehow! This gathering post is open all week, and beyond!)

Sunny knew, since after all it was not so different from the way she talked about her family. She complained constantly, but she loved them. "I should hope so, organizations die out without young blood. Much as they complain about the people who bring it."

She paused a beat. "Next time Orlu's in town," she said, "I'll have to introduce you. That isn't anything nearly so grand, but... Well, I don't know if I'd be the kind of girl who charges through a circle of reporters if he hadn't done the same for me with our classmates when we were kids."

Something of Felix's sarcastic bitch-face relaxed at that, because he did truly value the rescue Sunny had offered him on that awful day. He knew he didn't deserve the friendship of someone quite so brave, but it warmed his chilly little heart nonetheless. "Well. I'll have to thank him for that."

"And I have to thank you for indulging me," Sunny answered as she heard the song coming to a close. It had been far too long since she'd had a chance to do any ballroom dancing without leading. She didn't mind that exactly so much as much as dancing with someone who knew what they were doing was a very different experience from someone who didn't. "That was fun."

When the music ended, Felix stepped back, still clasping one of her hands, and bowed formally -- with a familiar glittering in his eyes. "The pleasure was all mine, darling. Any time you feel the urge to make a spectacle, please consider me a willing partner in crime."

Sunny had never been bowed to before, and she had to bite her lip to keep in what was mostly a nervous chuckle. The gallantry of the gesture dictated her answer, "I will not hesitate to call on your services, should I find myself in need."
