The Queen's official birthday celebrations might wait for the better, brighter weather of June, instead of the actual date just passed, but there was no lack of things to do in London this week, even if it was cooler and damper than the week before. St. George's day festivities were scattered throughout the city, competing with celebrations of the four hundredth anniversary of Shakespeare's death. Getting around the city could be even more difficult than usual on Sunday, with multiple streets closed off for the London marathon.

There were exhibits - everything from graphic design to a survey of Sicilian history to the influence of underwear. And the same level of diversity could be found whether you were in the mood for music, theatre, good food, or late night fun. There was something for everyone, and no matter your plans - or lack of plans - you never quite knew what you were going to find, or who might find you.

The response wasn't anything Belinda would've expected, and it took the heat out of her flare of possessiveness. "That may be true, but I doubt you want to be eaten by an angry dragon because you were too curious about their treasure."

"I would be a delicious dish, and they would be lucky to have me," Winter huffed stubbornly. "Like cake, but better."

Hmm... Now he wanted cake.

"I wouldn't want your treasure anyway, I have my own," the pixie said proudly.

Belinda could feel the laughter inside wanting to bubble up, and she pressed her lips tight together to hold it in, not wanting to upset his obvious pride - at being a delicious snack for a dragon. Not that she ate people, unlike some dragons.

"Then guard it well," she suggested in all seriousness, once the initial humor had passed. "For there's nothing more precious than one's own treasure."

Winter nodded, as though that were the most sage advice he'd ever been offered, then looked down as his phone mooed at him, letting him know he was being texted.

"Uh oh," he muttered, biting his lip and the frowning. "I must go. My friend King Philip has made a mess in my brother's flat. ...It was nice meeting you though, Miss. Dragon. Maybe next time we meet, you will see my true form," he peeped.

"Call me Belinda," she suggested, wondering how well he might keep her secret, if he was already calling her Dragon. "And hopefully next time, you still won't see mine."

"Okay, Miss. Belinda," Winter nodded. "Though I do hope I see it," he added with an impish grin.
