New York I love You (But You're Bringing Me Down) - OTA

Honestly, he couldn't say why, but sometimes it wasn't the madness or the pain that drove Prometheus to travel. It was just a itch, a need he had to fulfil. Lately it had been clawing at him again, and though he'd done his best to put it off... New York was calling to him. He needed to go. He'd return to London, of course, he always did after all. Though to ensure he returned sooner rather than later this time, he'd hung a 'Help Wanted' sign in the window of his shop. With any luck he'd find someone to run it in his absence.

Soft music filled the shop, and as usual the titan was behind one of his canvases. Paint tinted the tips of his fingers and was splattered all over his jeans as he neared completion on his latest piece. He'd taken a sharp turn back into realism lately, and dark hues and clear lines presented an image of a ratty looking bookshop on a corner in New York.

The titan frowned at that particular memory, looking almost uneasy in his own skin for a moment.

"Quite," he agreed quietly.

The little frown made Robin lean in and press his lips to Prometheus', tightening his arms around his waist.

The kiss was unexpected, but drew a smile from the titan.

"Do you really wish to join me for a while?" he asked. "I'd like that very much, Robin."

[goodfellow]

Robin smiled and then leaned in to nuzzle Prometheus' neck. "When do we leave?"

"I was planning to leave tomorrow, but- I can wait, if you need more time?" the titan offered.

[goodfellow]

"Mmmm..." Robin considered this for a moment then said, "There are a few things I should get in order. One more day?"

[pecked_by_birds]

"As you like," the titan beamed, obviously thrilled.

[goodfellow]

Now that was the kind of reaction Robin had been hoping for.

He pulled him closer again. Kissed him again. Then murmured, "But I don't have to start getting things together until morning."

"Then by all means, stay tonight. We'll order in, hide out in the flat so it's just you and I alone, precious puck."

[goodfellow]

"Perfect," Robin purred. And then he looked over Prometheus' shoulder again, at the painting. "You should paint me into this," he said lightly. "I always improve the scenery."

"Greedy little creature," he tutted playfully. "Perhaps I'll paint us both there."

Though he rarely painted himself, it was too hard to paint yourself when your self was always changing.

Robin wondered too if that was odd, so he offered, "This is a painting of the past." Even though they were going back there now. "You could paint us as we were. There - " He pointed. "I'm pretty sure we had sex against that bookshelf once."

The titan laughed softly, almost blushing as he looked away.
