As much as Robin had enjoyed being in New York with Prometheus, he'd grown restless. And now that he was back in London, he realized how much this really did seem like his home now. He loved the city, he loved running the club. He even appreciated the friends that he had here, as much as he still attempted to keep them at arm's length.

Tonight, he made the rounds at Saturnalia dressed in an impeccable plum colored suit with a silver cashmere scarf hanging from his neck. He was already planning for a New Year's Eve party to celebrate the anniversary of that first "unofficial" opening of the club. Perhaps he could make it even better this time.

He was carrying a bottle of good champagne, still cold, and occasionally stopped those with empty glasses (of anything) and offered to refill them. Though now, he tipped his head back and poured some into his mouth before wiping it and looking pleased with himself.

"Enough that I am terribly tempted to have you right here on the balcony," Robin murmured, and then turned his head to nip at Fin's earlobe with his teeth

Fin grinned, letting out a little moan.

"Such a wicked and tempting offer, but it's a bit too chilly for that tonight. Let's go back inside, hmm?"

Robin chuckled. "Where's your sense of adventure?" he teased, but didn't argue as he took Fin's hand and pulled him back inside.

"It tends to vanish anytime we dip under five degrees, I think. I'm not really built for cold weather," Fin laughed, pulling Rob in for a kiss once they were inside again.

"I am," Robin said with a smirk when the kiss broke. "We didn't always have heated houses, you know."

"Mmm, and I imagine you had the best ideas when it came to staying warm," Fin chuckled softly

Robin laughed. "Yes," he said. "Yes, I usually do. But you don't have any heat magic in your arsenal?"

"Nothing I wouldn't be worried about accidentally setting myself ablaze with," Fin admitted awkwardly, looking a touch embarrassed.

"Oh yes, well let's not risk this that inside my club," Robin said. "Careful, don't trip over the panties on the floor at your feet." Were they from the dancer last night, or the bartender two nights ago? They were red, which wasn't a very telling color.

Fin looked down, the mood slightly dampened by the reminder that Rob probably brought everyone back here.

"Right... Um, anyway, I'm probably going to grab another drink. I'll not keep you away from your adoring fans."

Robin arched a brow. The change in his mood was pretty obvious, not to mention abrupt. "Fin. Seriously?"

"What?" Fin asked quietly. "Sorry, am I supposed to pretend it's not a tad insulting to be dragged back to the place where you shag interchangeable staff?"

Robin frowned. A genuine frown of confusion because he was at a loss.

"I've been to your place," he pointed out. "You've never shagged anyone else there?"

"You've never been to mine, I've only ever had one person back there," Fin said with a small shrug. "That hotel I was in, maybe, but that's not really what I meant. ...I never let the people I'm with feel like they're just one of many. At least, I try not to, because they're not. They all matter to me. ...Do I matter to you? Or am I just another pair of pants waiting to decorate your floor?"

Robin sank onto the edge of his desk, and sighed.

"I'm sorry there was physical evidence that I had sex with someone," he said. "We both know that we sleep with other people. You also know that you're not just a random fuck to me. I would really hope that spotting a pair of panties wouldn't make you rethink that."

"It just kills the mood a bit, alright? Look, I know I'm not the only person you sleep with, the same way you know I sleep with other people, but- I don't know. It just- It kills the mood, that's the only way I can put it," Fin shrugged. "It's not personal, and maybe it's just me being a stick in the mud, but- I'm just not feeling very sensual at the moment, Rob. Perhaps I enjoy the illusion of being something important more than you do."

Robin was clearly taken aback - not even slipping into annoyed because he was too baffled for that. Not because Fin didn't want to have sex, but because he couldn't make sense of this attitude.

"Okay," he said, and threw up his hands. "In the future I will try harder to not remind you that I have sex with other people." Words which coming from a puck must sound patently ridiculous.

Fin sighed, aware he wasn't going to make the puck understand just what he meant. He wasn't sure it was a feeling he could even put into words.

"Come have another drink with me," he said softly. "And, I don't know, maybe don't leave random knickers on your floor in the future?"

He couldn't possibly be the only person who found that off putting.

It was a good thing that Robin did like Fin so much.

"All right," he said, and slid off of the desk. "And it's not like I noticed they were there. Obviously."

Fin said nothing, but he did offer his arm to the puck.

Robin took his arm, and in a conciliatory gesture, turned his head to kiss his cheek. "The bartenders named a drink after me," he said. "You need to try it."
