Vanessa gulped, heartened for hearing Yves' voice. He did not sound in distress, and she did not dare look away from the creature in front of her. "Where is Mina?" she demanded of it.
"You've come for her," it replied, curiously. It seemed to have no more eyes for Yves than she did, entirely focused on her as she was on it. "I can reunite you."
