It wasn't pleasant, not at all. "I'm not sure, honestly," Angelique confessed, after another slow sip. "He's always honest with me, which I'm glad for, because a lie would feel even worse. I'm not asking for his heart forever and ever... I just don't think I know what's reasonable to expect, when the person you want is four centuries old and will continue to live on for centuries after you're gone."
