Shannon would be mortified that Felix was discussing this with a stranger, but he already saw Spencer as an intellectual peer, and approached this as a matter of deduction, and not really one of interpersonal relationships. "We have something of an open relationship, but it's entirely one-sided. He has the freedom to spend time with other men, if he wants to, but he doesn't. And he's beautiful, so men of our persuasion are throwing themselves at him constantly.
