Re: Saturday
Date: 2016-02-27 03:40 am (UTC)"Planning on picking up a copy of Magical Tattoos and Scarification?" Yves asked, the amusement evident in his voice, even though he spoke in that familiar low and rumbling purr.
His hair was shock white today, and a few strands tumbled forward, hanging over one eye as he leaned slightly forward to speak in the young witch's ear. "I'm sure you'd look lovely with a dharma wheel right on your hip," he teased.
Re: Saturday
Date: 2016-02-28 01:40 am (UTC)But whatever.
"Maybe I'll pick up a spellbook or two. You never know. Maybe something actually works." Even though what she actually kind of wanted to say was 'You are not allowed to talk about my hips.'
Re: Saturday
Date: 2016-02-28 01:58 am (UTC)Yves held up the crystal ball he'd selected in show, crafted lovingly from quartz. It wasn't clear at all, full of impurities and other minerals- but there was something about it. A warmth it radiated.

Date: 2016-02-28 01:12 pm (UTC)"Unless they're digital," the fae purred, placing the ball back into the basket he was carrying, which looked terribly out of place hanging from his arm.
"So, what in here has caught your eye?" he asked curiously. "The runes, the cards... Perhaps the garden gnome dressed like a wizard over there?"

Date: 2016-02-28 07:06 pm (UTC)She hesitated a moment before she admitted, "I've half an eye on getting a Tarot deck one of these days. A friend of mine does readings, and she'd teach me if I asked... but I haven't been able to pick."

Date: 2016-02-28 11:28 pm (UTC)"Fae aren't nearly so eager to learn. At least, not my kind," Yves admitted. "My desire for knowledge has always made me a bit of an outcast."
Though that wasn't the only reason his kind kept their distance.
Re: Saturday
Date: 2016-03-03 05:56 am (UTC)That and it seemed less offensive than, 'Given how into rules fae are, trying to be revolutionary probably isn't appreciated.'

Date: 2016-03-05 03:05 am (UTC)"At least some of you don't waste what time you have though. You learn, you want to explore and know things," Yves replied, speaking slowly, as though he was struggling with something. Though that struggle faded as he shook his head.

Date: 2016-03-05 04:33 am (UTC)Yves was silent for a beat, his expression hard to read as he forced his mind back through the conversation they'd been having, combing through the details. Though what he was searching for was something only he could know.
After a beat he smiled, then offered a small shrug. He seemed less looming now, nd no longer seemed to be attempting to enter her personal space, though his voice still returned to that low purr.
"My hair does as it pleases. It always has. As if it's off two minds. Something else my kin never liked. It's a sign of- Well, that's not important, it's all just superstition and whispers."
