(Rather than write the same vaguedrivel, here is a pretty gif to inspire you, a link to the weather for the week, and a link to londonist, a great resource for all things London related. As always this post is open all week. Tag in, tag others, check back often!)
"That's noble. Real sweet. It's great you've got a mate like that.
Important. I don't think I've got a mate like that. Maybe...I've never been
tested, really," Davey replied. "What do you do for fun? I'm sure you don't
go to St. Michael's for the fun of it so what do you like?"
"What kind of music do you like? EDM? House? Does it mater?" he pressed. D was used to all sorts of fares and he could generally pull some kind of chat out of even the quietest.
"Doesn't really matter. When I'm alone I like- I dunno, music that means
something, I suppose. In a club though? Just has to be loud and thumping,"
Danny said, glancing over, then looking back out the window.
"That's it. That's more like it. Club music is impersonal, but fun. Who do
you like that has a meaning? Not pop tunes, I'm sure," Davey said as he
came to a stop at a light.
"Great," he grinned. "I've been playing Hozier's album since it came out.
Not tired of it yet and I heard he's supposed to be coming out with a new
one soon."
Danny nodded, content to let David chat. There had been a time in his life when he'd talked a mile a minute, especially around people he found attractive or interesting- But now, he found himself silent. Guarded even. Not against David, but the world at large.
Davey chatted on about music, most of what he knew being six months or even
a year old. He knew a few newer songs from Spotify but he didn't know the
names. That didn't stop him from singing a bit. He chuckled and chatted and
smoked another, filling the silence, then abruptly looked over at Danny.
"Am I talking too much?" he asked. The question seemed genuine enough,
though he didn't seem like a yes would bother him too much.
"Not really, it's- It's complicated," Danny shrugged, not wanting to share
Hex's business with someone he hardly knew. "Anyway, cheers- I'll, um- I'll
see you tomorrow."
He was getting out before the cab had even fully stopped, uncomfortable in
his own skin and questioning everything he was doing.

"I can keep it quiet, too," he said. "We're almost there. Do you want me to pick you up tomorrow? 'Round six?"

"Nice neighborhood. Your mate must be well off," he said casually.
