It had taken considerably longer than Robin anticipated, thanks to some building code issues that had pushed back his renovations by months, but following the thrown together "preview" on New Year's Eve (that had gone very well if he did say so himself), Saturnalia was finally officially open for business.

The inside of the club looked somewhat different than it had in January: more polished now, better decorations, furniture, lighting. There was still Greek inspiration, particularly in the murals on the walls - modern, graffiti-inspired versions of Greek art and myths, bright colors splashed amidst chrome industrial decor. Most of the employees (bartenders, dancers) were wearing togas.

The grand opening was a hot ticket, but Robin had sent out invitations generously, and instructed the bouncers at the door to let in the beautiful people as usual, yes, but to be rather random about it as well. After all, what was the fun in only the rich and beautiful?

Alcohol was free flowing, and the music was hot, spun by a DJ on a stage who seemed to have the perfect sense of the crowd. He may have even had a little help by magic. Because why leave these things to chance?

"I wouldn't call politics Felix's 'thing'," Shannon said, "but he is aware to a certain extent due to his job." Not wanting to talk about Felix's job, he asked, "what is it that you do Remus?"

Remus didn't probe further: the ways of wizards were secretive, and all that. Although it did sound like Shannon was a Muggle, unless his brother was a Squib? Or it was simply A Different Way of Doing Things.

Dispelling the musings for the moment, Remus tried to focus on the question, and looked a bit hopeless and helpless in answering it. "...Oh, nothing much right now. Gentleman of leisure, as they say." He thumbed in Sirius' direction over his shoulder, unnervingly accurate. "Cleaning up that one's mess takes up most of my time."

"That doesn't sound very leisurely," Shannon said. He could be labeled the same, but he preferred to make messes rather than clean them up.

"I'm between odds and ends at the moment," Remus explained. "Took a bit of a...gap year. So I have the time. What about you?"

At some point he'd have to seriously start thinking about work, but even Remus could procrastinate about that. Procrastination was one of Sirius' more contagious habits.

"You could say I'm perpetually between jobs," Shannon said. Actually, he'd never had a job, and with the support from his brother he would never need to have one.

"Ahhh," Remus murmured, more of a placeholder than a comment, to go with the curious, raised eyebrow. "Well, I should probably make sure my friend doesn't end up dancing on a table somewhere, but it was lovely to meet this 'Shannon' that Felix spoke of." He nodded affably: "Enjoy your evening," before breaking out into a grin- "I'm sure I'll see you around - we should invite Felix out sometime and talk terribly about him while he's there."

Shannon laughed. "We could try, but never underestimate Felix's ability to return what others dish out. It is one of the things that make me so fond of him."

"Never underestimate mine!" Remus retorted, with a bit of a twinkle in his eye. He winked, even as he took a step back. "We'll wrestle him into shape, don't you worry. Until then!" And then he was gone amongst the heaving bodies in the crowd, a half-finished drink the only sign he had been there.
