It had taken considerably longer than Robin anticipated, thanks to some building code issues that had pushed back his renovations by months, but following the thrown together "preview" on New Year's Eve (that had gone very well if he did say so himself), Saturnalia was finally officially open for business.
The inside of the club looked somewhat different than it had in January: more polished now, better decorations, furniture, lighting. There was still Greek inspiration, particularly in the murals on the walls - modern, graffiti-inspired versions of Greek art and myths, bright colors splashed amidst chrome industrial decor. Most of the employees (bartenders, dancers) were wearing togas.
The grand opening was a hot ticket, but Robin had sent out invitations generously, and instructed the bouncers at the door to let in the beautiful people as usual, yes, but to be rather random about it as well. After all, what was the fun in only the rich and beautiful?
Alcohol was free flowing, and the music was hot, spun by a DJ on a stage who seemed to have the perfect sense of the crowd. He may have even had a little help by magic. Because why leave these things to chance?

Date: 2016-06-02 12:00 am (UTC)He wore a simple black suit, though only because he knew his current uniform of paint splattered shirts and jeans wouldn't be welcome here, and he watched the puck descend from the stage before slowly making his way over.
"Another opening? Will there be one for each season?" the titan asked, forgetting for a moment that his face had changed since they'd last spoken, and that Robin may not recognize him right away.

Date: 2016-06-02 12:27 am (UTC)His skin still had an ever so slightly blue hint to it, as did the whites of his eyes, but otherwise he looked much healthier now. Less likely to be knocked over by a strong breeze.
He'd arrived wearing leather trousers and shoes, paired with a sheer blouse and a simple black jacket, with a subtle hint of shimmer. Though the most noteworthy part of his ensemble was the necklace he'd chosen... A collar. Elegant, yes, but also aggressive, heavy looking- Certainly eye catching.
He'd spent most of the night dancing with his friend, and fellow actor, Richard Gayles, but had retired to the bar when some pretty young woman had caught Richard's eye.
He was leaning against it now, drink in hand as his gaze raked over the sea of people, searching for someone to make his evening a bit less dull.

Date: 2016-06-02 11:19 am (UTC)Of course, Eric had much better self-control than that.
He walked over with a curious expression. "You smell new." Reborn into something much, much more delicious.

"Will put that on you?" he asked. It was remarkably inappropriate he he felt a flare of jealousy.

Date: 2016-06-02 12:33 am (UTC)With his shock-white hair and unusual attire, he was hard to miss, and he'd accumulated a very small group of admirers who were all dancing with or near him. Some simply enjoying his energy, others attempting to catch his eye.
Winter wasn't interested in them though- He only paid anything other than the music any mind when someone approached that made his spine tingle. Someone familiar? Someone his body desired? Curious, he stopped dancing to turn his head and see.

Date: 2016-06-02 02:53 am (UTC)Though he wasn't here to prowl tonight, Felix still dressed as though he were, in a skin-tight shirt of nearly shocking raspberry with only the absolute necessary buttons done up to his breastbone to keep it on him. Expensive charcoal denim jeans with swirling patterns around the hips and groin looked nearly painted on his slender frame. A delicate silver chain glittered at his throat, while faceted silver hoops of graduated size glimmered in his ears among heavy crimson curls.
He lost Shannon in the crowds for a little while, passed too near the glitter cannon, and when he found himself moving out on the dance floor, he was lightly dusted all over with sparkling silver and gold, like magic shimmering over his porcelain skin.

Date: 2016-06-02 10:25 am (UTC)As it was, Remus was dressed in a slightly poncy brown leather jacket, grey denims, and sneakers. It was comfortable and just stylish enough for a club. He had his own style which Sirius didn't really understand, and was not for the first time, very glad of it.
Remus was very aware of the scents in the air, the solidity of the bar against his side and under an elbow, the sounds, the bitter tang of the alcohol on the back of his tongue. Even two weeks from the full moon, it still left him feeling too much, skin too tight, and sensations too bold to be contained. He scoured the crowd with a certain predatory look in his eyes for anyone he knew.

Date: 2016-06-02 10:39 am (UTC)Now that he was inside and had a drink in his hand, he was ready to enjoy himself. Clad all in leather, with a distressed t-shirt that had actually come that way from the shop, if you could believe it, he knew he looked good as he moved through the crowds, ready to catch an eye and toss a flirtatious smile back round every turn. He'd misplaced Remus at some point between the bar and the dance floor, but he was sure he would find him again at some point.

Date: 2016-06-02 10:53 am (UTC)All nightclubs were about one form of hedonism or another, if they were done right.
Despite the chill, Eric hadn't bothered taking a jacket with him. Dressed in black pants and a blue-grey v-neck t-shirt, he walked to the front of the line and held up his invitation, and was immediately let in. The night was well on its way, and the crowd seemed a good one. Eric moved on its edge, watching the dancers, and the murals.

Date: 2016-06-06 11:43 pm (UTC)"I take it you're not worried about the competition?" was the first thing he said when he came over, gliding through the crowd, his entire body movement slightly different since he was in drag. He had already been mistaken for a woman several times tonight, he was fairly certain. He didn't really care either way.

Date: 2016-06-02 11:54 am (UTC)The truth was, she had no idea whether this punk would like this place, but she felt increasingly restless these days, unable to get anywhere with Em's issues and needing to let go and, like D had said, cut loose. So it didn't matter if she didn't like the music as much, she thought to herself after checking her leather jacket at the cloakroom, as long as she could drink, dance, and possibly score a little something on the side.
She could most often be found on the dancefloor, not giving a shit about much of anything but enjoying the moment. When she took a break to get a drink, she tended to go for shooters. She didn't want to spend too long drinking anything on the side of the party. No, she wanted to be in the thick of it.
no subject
Date: 2016-06-09 09:13 pm (UTC)He turned and saw her, his smile widening as he took her in from head to toe and smoothly moved through the crowded floor to dance next to the woman with a grin, not saying anything as he shifted a little closer. It was a silent invitation that could as easily be rejected as accepted, depending on whether she reciprocated.

But every drink he was offered he turned away, and he found himself so terribly tempted to find someone who wouldn't mind a bite... sometimes, despite his own conscience, he wished that he had Eric's ability to glamour people into forgetting. No wonder that always seemed so easy.

Date: 2016-06-02 06:43 pm (UTC)At some point, Coby had lost his vest – waistcoat, whatever, London – and his blue shirt was maybe half buttoned, but still mostly tucked into his jeans. A mix of necklaces, pendants on silver chain and leather cord lay on the vee of bared chest, with more silver and leather around his wrists. He'd avoided a blast from the glitter cannon so far, but not everyone he'd danced with had, and when the lights hit just right he seemed to glow. He wasn't ready for a break, but he could feel buzz under his skin and pull on his back warning the wings wanted to come out, so he made his way to the bar for a bottle of water first, followed by a kamikaze.
"Some opening, huh?" he asked with a smile for the person next to him.

Date: 2016-06-02 07:25 pm (UTC)Fortunately, he quickly found and was enthusiastically waved over by a former colleague of his - one who was always game. He and a group of friends were being terribly snobbish about the cultural impact of this club. Hannibal did enjoy listening to snobbish talk. Made him peckish.
Someone had placed a laurel wreath on his head when he had come in and he had taken it off his head in what could have been seen by a bystander as a dance. If it was, it had been a very short dance.
He now held it in his hand as he left the snobs, excusing himself to get himself a drink.

Date: 2016-06-03 03:07 am (UTC)He was dressed in tight white trousers and a loose, pale blue shirt that was soft to the touch. It was simple, just the way that Anafiel had always taught him to dress. Don't distract, he'd said. You don't need it.
He was inclined to stick close to Hannibal, though, and he largely did for the first part of the evening, but as it went on began to feel more comfortable and less anxious. The music helped, as did alcohol, and at some point he left Hannibal to go get another drink.
Now that he knew he apparently smelled like fairy (at least, to vampires), he couldn't help but wonder who could tell, if it would matter. And he was feeling anxious as well that he hadn't had a chance to tell Hannibal about that yet. Hannibal had come back from a conference earlier that day, and Alcuin thought it seemed like a longer conversation (particularly if he added in telling him about Eric) that was worthy of his full attention. It could wait until after the party. Maybe in the morning over breakfast.

Date: 2016-06-03 04:43 am (UTC)She knew she couldn't keep up with the image if anyone tried to get too close, but she came alive in the dancing, shining in a way even the people covered in glitter from the cannon couldn't match. The way she danced, she was practically daring anyone to get close enough to unzip her.
Of course, if anybody actually touched that zipper without her say-so, she'd reduce them to cinders.

Date: 2016-06-04 02:51 am (UTC)Never had he been so grateful to be so skinny.
"I said, you look amazing," he repeated when he got close, suddenly too-loud, and briefly awkward. "Both the dress, and the dancing. Can I cut in?" She was clever and interesting and deeply stunning, and attractive in a way he couldn't place. Even in his (relatively decent) clothes, Sunny was just another of those young, well-dressed, shining people that reminded him of what he was not.

Date: 2016-06-03 06:30 am (UTC)He'd planned to just stick to water to drink, but it had been a long time since he'd let loose, and something about the atmosphere in the club seemed to be infecting him, and on a whim he decided to go with it, ordering a screwdriver. The orange juice was likely out of a carton, definitely not fresh squeezed or organic in a place like this, but what the hell? It wasn't as if the vodka was exactly on his allowed food list these days, either.
Drink in hand (and one for John in the other), he turned to survey the crowd as he took a sip, already itching to get out on the dance floor and move.

Date: 2016-06-05 08:02 am (UTC)Still, he stuck to dark corners, surveying the people (and casing the exits), before seeing Bobby and striding confidently through the crowd (only a small diversion on the way) to pluck the glass from his fiancé's hand and take a sip. "Thank you, sweetheart," he said, and didn't make a remark about whether the booze in it was organic free trade. His free arm snaked around Bobby's waist, possessive. "You look incredible," John murmured in Bobby's ear, "I'd fuck you over the bar if I could."

...Except Shannon, in the past at least, had always been alright. Perhaps it was unfair of him to let Felix's issues taint his opinion of Shannon.
He waited for a break in the music before making his way over.
"Shannon," he greeted with a faint smile. "It's been a while. How are you?" he greeted.
And yes, alright, a small part of him couldn't help but think that Felix would absolutely hate it if he and Shannon became good friends.
