The past month- Months?- Had been strange. One night he'd found himself compelled to go out, as though something was calling to him. A silent siren song that had coaxed him into his car  and out into the country.

Where had he gone? What had he done?

Those were the questions he had to ask himself when he woke up in the middle of Hyde park in a rumpled suit and a brand new body. ...Possibly brand new. Certainly new to him in that moment, since he couldn't recall much of anything from the past few weeks. His head was pounding, and he was in agony.

A large bird sat upon him. A hawk, he thought absently- Or maybe not. He couldn't seem to focus on it. Not when his gaze was so strongly drawn to all the blood. ...His blood.

"No," he said softly, trying to chase it away with a weak wave of his hand. "I'm free, you can't- He can't," he insisted, right before the world went dark. ...Not that it mattered. It would heal, he would heal. He always did. How else could the punishment continue?

"Not really, no!" Felix hissed, backing through the door as Prometheus cleared it, working furiously, but the electricity slipped through his fingers just as the door fell closed again. He had no idea if the alarm would sound or not, so he reached out for the light in the alley and began to draw it toward himself, deepening the shadows on instinct.

Felix allowed his own magic to fizzle out when he felt the sudden and simple power eclipse his own. He'd known Prometheus had something, but he'd never expected a display of total reality-altering power with a snap of the fingers. For a long moment, Felix just stared at him. And then, very quickly, he took a step back -- only then realizing that the darkness was much deeper than he had expected.

"Kindness had nothing to do with it," Felix answered, because he always deflected any insinuation that he might be at all nice. "You had my coat."

A frown creased Felix's pretty features. He truly didn't understand what Prometheus meant by anything he'd said -- aside from the 'cowering' bit. His chin lifted; predictable defiance. "I would say that all things must end, eventually, but I suppose that isn't really true, is it." Not for Prometheus, certainly.

In a further bit of contrariness, he summoned his little green witch-lights. No matter that he might be seen. He'd prefer to see. Then, Felix bowed, and not even mockingly. "Good evening, then, Prometheus."
