GP - Wild Magic 2: Chaotic Evil Boogaloo

London was a magic epicenter of sorts. Between doors to The Otherside, dormant and active portals, and an active wizarding community, it was a hub of energy, more so now than it had been for quite some time. The city was experiencing a magical renaissance of sorts- Which sounded lovely and made it a prime place to be for those exploring and studying magical energies, but wasn't so wonderful for London's more 'normal' sorts.

Magic didn't care if you were a dark lord or a banker, if it liked you, it liked you- And it was impossible to guess who it would like.

Today magic energy was at an all time high. Another blip in the usually somewhat steady stream of power that flowed through the streets. As a result, odd things were afoot- From mischievous inconveniences, to darker disruptions. Unlike the portals, these bothers were a touch more subtle, creeping up unseen on the unsuspecting.

Last time around the magic had seemed lighthearted and playful- And some of it still was, but... There was an intensity to some of it this time, harking back to the troubles that seemed to roll around every Halloween now. Something wicked was caught in the current, and while it wasn't out to harm everyone, it did seem keen to target a few.

(OTA. Just like the last time, the magic can affect your pup however you see fit. Unlike last time, however, some of the magic has taken a darker turn. It doesn't have to do something wicked to your pup, of course, but the option is there now. This post will be open from 7/18-7/28 or longer if needed. Tag in, tag others, and check back often.)

"I want something vintage, all rich woods and dark colours. I want a proper writing desk, and a leather sofa..." Fin said, Showing her a rug sample in deep reds and an almost Victorian design.

It wasn't Pippa's taste at all, but she could appreciate it, and more than that, she could appreciate that Fin would like it.

She swiped open Pintrest and began searching curtains and furniture.

"What about these?" she asked of some red and gold curtains. "Should I pin them? We can collect all kinds of ideas here."

"No, too much gold. I don't want fussy," Fin replied, shaking his head. "It should be a little bohemian, you know?"

"More bohemian..." she mused, swiping the page up and up. "More like this?" she asked, showing him something with a bit of an Asian print to it, with dark jewel tones.

"I, yeah, I guess," Fin nodded, wondering now if this had been a poor idea. He'd sort of forgotten the way Pip tended to charge in and take over. He valued her input, and was sure she could design a far nicer space than he'd manage to, but- Well, he also worried it wouldn't be his space by the time it was done.

"We'll save it as an idea," she said, pinning it and breezing along. "I'll see what else I can find. Tell me more about your vision."

"My vision?" Fin asked with a laugh. "What are you, an interior designer now?"

"Bitch, I might be," she laughed. "Oh, come on, Fin...this is fun. The possibilities are endless. And you know I love shopping."

"I know, I know, Pip- I just- Maybe this should be my project, not ours?" he suggested, not wanting to hurt her feelings. "Maybe you could just help me sort out my closet for now? I need to declutter."

"Mhmm," she mumbled, swiping her phone up and up as she looked through curtains she might like for herself. It took a minute, but she finally looked up with a smile. "Anything you like, Fin. Let's see what you've got."
