Gathering Post - Christmas Eve Party

Merry Christmas!

You are invited to celebrate the season with Finlay Flynn and Willy Silver.

 

When: Christmas Eve (5pm – Midnight)

Where: Making the Modern World - The Science Museum

Upon entry you'll be given a ticket for one free drink. All drinks after that are 5 each. There will also be a free buffet in the dining area.

 

Dress code: Casual, but tidy please!

 

Raffle: Come wearing a festive sweater and you will automatically be entered into a raffle to win a 65 inch TV.

 

Donate: Bring three tins of canned food to be donated to the local food bank, and receive an extra drink ticket.

Look forward to: A live DJ, live music, an appearance by Santa, gift bags with deluxe swag, and the company of old and new friends!

 

(OTA! Happy holidays! If you know Fin, Willy, Phouka, or Winter, feel free to assume they gave you an invite. If not, you can say your pup got an invite through a friend of a friend, someone who knows someone, ect. It IS invite over (no gate crashing pups please, Fin's a giver and would want everyone to feel included), but the pups hosting the party are pretty active and I believe they know almost everyone in the game. And the people they don't know surely know people who do. Even if you only met them once, you got an invite somehow! This gathering post is open all week, and beyond!)

"Absolutely," Fin smiled, starting to dance the moment they were on the floor, without a care in the world.

"What? You mean other people don't talk about murder on Christmas?" Q asked with mock innocence. "What are we supposed to talk about then? Our plans for the New Year? The state of the economy? Boring. Murder's much more interesting."

"Elves? No idea." Em know how Dutch felt, though, with all the non-humans she'd met recently, and at least Em was used to mutants, who were different in their own ways. "But there are more things in heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."

"I've been told it isn't about the television, but about the possibility of winning," Anael answered with a grin. "Or it was just about wanting to see me in this, really, but she wouldn't have come out and said so." It had been very clear all the same.

That wasn't particular reassuring, in Em's opinion. But at least she didn't live with Winter. She was happy living with a pyrokinetic who could handle any fires that threatened to get out of control.

"I'm sorry, I'm taking up all your time, when you have guests to visit with. I just, wanted to say hello, and thank you for having us all here tonight."

Jag laughed, and then thought, 'Fuck it,' and joined him with the same carefree spirit. And a lot of white boy moves, to be perfect honest.

"Climate change," Dutch replied, mock-wisely. "Other people talk about climate change, and the lack of a White Christmas."

"No, no, if we're talking elves, don't you have to go with Oberon and Titania?" Dutch pointed out, and smiled. "Come on. I need a top up, and you need a drink."

"Not at all. I just don't get many... sincere compliments," was what Sunny settled on after a moment of hesitation, simplification, and consolidation. Albino is a synonym for ugly.

"I know both of them, but I'm friends with Fin," she affirmed. It was safest not to put Willy into any category. He wasn't safe enough to trust, too charming not to like, and she didn't want to alienate Fin by openly disliking him.

Danny chuckled softly at that, then shrugged. "Well then, if it's about winning, I wish you luck," he smiled.

"You're not, it's fine- But you're welcome, and I do hope you have a good night," Fin smiled.

"I'm spoiled," Coby said, not hiding how happy he was Anael wanted to come home with him. "But since I can't let her chide you, I'll just have to steal you away."

It felt good to let loose and just have fun, and Fin didn't stop dancing until the song came to an end, laughing and smiling even then.

"Brilliant," he laughed.

Q chuckled at that, pulling a face. "Normal people must be terribly tedious."

"Who says we're only talking about elves?" Em grinned back slyly. "Besides, I'm not sure invoking the Fair Folk is wise. Drinks, on the other hand, a very wise decision."

"It was nice meeting you, Fin." Any friend of Jag's had to be a good sort. "I hope the evening's everything you want it to be." She raised her glass to him, nodded, and thinking she should see what Dutch had gotten up to in her absence.

"If you'd seen the look on her face, you'd know I've already won," Anael replied with a warm smile. Besides, the possibility of winning was different from winning at all, but since it was about neither, for Anael, it wasn't worth arguing. "And then there was the look on your face, when you laughed at it."

Sunny just grinned at him. "It's not cheap."

"You want to bring people happiness," Danny sussed. "That's terribly sweet, Hani. ...You're terribly sweet, I think, aren't you? In general, I mean. You've just got a good heart."

"I assume you mean the contents have a high retail value, right? Since the bags are free," Spencer said, unable to stop himself from being literal. "This whole party seems really expensive," he added quietly. "I almost feel like I shouldn't touch anything."

"What a chore," Anael agreed, stepping closer for another kiss. What could he say? Coby was here. Of course he ought to be kissing him.

"Something like that," Jag agreed, although his grin said he agreed. "More beer. I need more beer."

"Well, define 'normal'," Dutch answered with a smile, very definitely thinking about Emma. "Some of them manage to be interesting despite the lack of murder talk. Shocker."

"He's very sweet," Sunny agreed. "I know he's an adult and older than me and everything, but it's hard not to feel protective."

"Always," Dutch agreed with a grin, and snatched her hand to draw her in the direction of the bar. "And they've got an amazing-looking buffet. I was waiting for you to eat."
