Gathering Post - Christmas Eve Party

Merry Christmas!

You are invited to celebrate the season with Finlay Flynn and Willy Silver.

 

When: Christmas Eve (5pm – Midnight)

Where: Making the Modern World - The Science Museum

Upon entry you'll be given a ticket for one free drink. All drinks after that are 5 each. There will also be a free buffet in the dining area.

 

Dress code: Casual, but tidy please!

 

Raffle: Come wearing a festive sweater and you will automatically be entered into a raffle to win a 65 inch TV.

 

Donate: Bring three tins of canned food to be donated to the local food bank, and receive an extra drink ticket.

Look forward to: A live DJ, live music, an appearance by Santa, gift bags with deluxe swag, and the company of old and new friends!

 

(OTA! Happy holidays! If you know Fin, Willy, Phouka, or Winter, feel free to assume they gave you an invite. If not, you can say your pup got an invite through a friend of a friend, someone who knows someone, ect. It IS invite over (no gate crashing pups please, Fin's a giver and would want everyone to feel included), but the pups hosting the party are pretty active and I believe they know almost everyone in the game. And the people they don't know surely know people who do. Even if you only met them once, you got an invite somehow! This gathering post is open all week, and beyond!)

"I don't think I want to go on a quest just to kiss you," Hex chuckled. He slid his arm round Spencer, quite comfortable with the very public affection. "Are you having a good time?"

"Well... No, but it's better now you're here," Spencer said honestly. "I feel more comfortable with you nearby- Parties are kind of... I don't socialize well," he admitted, pulling a face that made it seem like even talking about being social was a little hard for him.

Hex smiled more brightly at that. He was so fond of Spencer and to hear that the man enjoyed his company- said outright and not simply assumed- made his heart feel larger.

"I'm glad you came. I'm having a marvelous time. So much food and great people. Did you try the brie?" he asked, pointing down the table. "All I've seen you eating were sweets."

"I ate a meat pie as well," Spencer insisted, glancing at the food table, then smiling at Hex.

"I don't imagine you touched the vegetable tray? At a carrot and hummus?" he asked, knowing that was too much to wish for.

"There's a vegetable tray?" Spencer asked, glancing at the table again. "Oh, um... I had some vegetables. There were peas in that pie..."

Hex shook his head.

"You should let me cook for you just so I can sneak some extra veg into your diet," he teased.

Spencer laughed, looking a little self concious. "I eat healthy enough I think. I have salads sometimes..."

"I know you do. I'm only teasing. And being a mother hen, pecking at you to eat right and change your socks," he laughed. "I am really glad you came."

"I'm glad too. I haven't seen you in a while," he added, maybe sounding a bit unsure.

[just_hex]

"Yeah, I know. And texting just isn't the same. I've been spending time with Fin and with me mate Danny who I just reconnected with after years of not seeing him. I sobered up- I lost a lot of mates," he said. Not that he and Danny had been mates. Doing shots and having a bump in the loo hardly made people close friends.

"And the show is really taking off. Stanley got me sponsorship so I'm actually making some money off of it," he smiled. He hadn't really told Spencer about the show. Of course the man knew of his sexual preferences but that was beyond Spencer's comfort zone and Hex never pushed it on him.

"Show?" Spencer asked. "You're on television?"

He'd spoken so casually about it to so many people that he'd simply forgotten he hadn't told SPencer. And it wasn't the sort of thing the other man might find on his own.

"No, I, erm...I do a show on YouTube," he said. "It's instructional. A how to show. I have a ton of viewers. It's really quite popular."

"You Tube?" Spencer asked, looking even more confused than before. "Is that on TV or..."

"It's on the internet. YouTube dot com. Spencer, sometimes what you don't know is more surprising than what you do," he laughed.

[dr_spencer_reid]

"Oh. So, you- You're making videos now? That's interesting. I'd like to see them," Spencer smiled.

"They're, mm, well..."

He took a deep breath.

"They're for educating people who are new to BDSM," he said. He didn't know why he was suddenly shy to talk about it with Spencer. He'd been chatting with people all night about the show's success.

"Oh," Spencer replied, not looking shocked by that news. "That makes sense. ...I'd still like to see them," he added with a smile, wanting to support Hex.

Spencer seemed earnest in that and it eased all anxiety.

"Sure. Here," he said, pulling out his phone. He poked and swiped and pulled up a recent one about knots and he hit play. Hex was shirtless in black jeans and his sub of the week was a blonde young man who stood patiently with ropes all over him as Hex showed how to tie knots securely as well as ones a sub could slip if they were nervous or if that was part of the scene.

"Oh, um, maybe not at the party," Spencer suggested with an awkward laugh. "After? Um, unless you have plans..."

"We could go back to mine and pull it up on the telly," he suggested. "If you really want to. You don't have to, Spencer. I know it doesn't interest you."

"No, I'd like that," Spencer assured him. "I'd like to see what you do- And to learn more about, um- What you like."

"Alright. I'd really like that, Spencer. I've actually been nervous about telling you. I wasn't sure how you'd react," he admitted.

[dr_spencer_reid]

"Really? I didn't- I've never meant to come off as judgemental or anything like that," Spencer insisted.

"I just thought it didn't interest you. Not that you disapproved. Though...the killers you catch, you mentioned a lot of them are into bondage and sadism. But it's different. It really is. We'll watch the show and you'll see," he replied.
